Are there setup fees or hidden costs?
No. Forento has no setup fees or hidden charges. The only costs outside your Forento subscription — or the sales commission on the Free plan — are the processing fees charged by Stripe or PayPal.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
Basic, Start, and Scale include a 30-day free trial so you can evaluate Forento. You can cancel during the trial without being charged. If you do not cancel, the subscription begins when the trial ends.
What is the 20% sales commission on the Free plan?
The Free plan has no upfront or recurring subscription fee and includes the core tools for publishing and selling digital products. Forento charges 20% of each sale made on this plan.
What support is available with each plan?
Every plan includes chat support. For more comprehensive onboarding and setup assistance, we recommend Start or Scale.
What does billed annually mean?
You pay for a full year upfront and receive a lower effective monthly price than with monthly billing.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. When signed in, you can upgrade or downgrade from the Billing and Plans settings page.
What is the difference between a website and a custom domain?
The website feature lets you build a fully branded site in Forento. A custom domain lets that site use your own URL, such as www.yourbusiness.com, instead of a Forento subdomain.
Can I get a refund if I am not satisfied?
You will not be charged if you cancel during the 30-day trial. After the trial you can cancel at any time, but refunds are generally not offered.
What are admin accounts?
Admin accounts are seats for team members or co-administrators. Multiple seats let your team manage an academy without sharing login details.
Can I start on Free and upgrade later?
Yes. You can start on Free and upgrade from the Billing and Plans settings page whenever you are ready.
