React to comments in your community, not just posts
![]()
Conversations in your community happen in the comments as much as in the posts themselves. Until now, the only way to show appreciation for a good comment was to reply to it. Today that changes: members and creators can react to comments with the same emoji reactions you already use on posts.
What changed
Every comment in your community now has its own reaction picker. Tap it to choose one of the five reactions - Like, Love, Insightful, Motivated, or Well done - and a small emoji summary appears next to the comment showing what people thought of it. Tap the summary to see exactly who reacted and how.
Each person gets one reaction per comment, so you can change your mind or take it back at any time. Reactions work wherever you read comments: in your academy's community, and in the community view of your creator dashboard.
Why it is better
Before, a thread full of helpful answers could look quiet even when people were reading and agreeing. The alternative was a string of "+1" and "thanks!" replies that buried the comments worth reading.
A reaction says the same thing in one tap, without adding noise. The best comments now stand out, the person who wrote them gets a nod, and the thread stays easy to follow.
Getting started
There is nothing to set up. Comment reactions follow the access rules you already have for your channels: anyone who can react to posts in a channel can react to comments there too, and members with read-only access can still see reactions without adding their own.
What we learned
This one came straight from a creator request. The pattern we keep hearing is that small, low-effort ways to participate make a community feel alive, and that members who react today are more likely to comment tomorrow. Comment reactions are built around that idea.
Tell us what you think
Comment reactions are new, and we would love to hear how they land in your community. If the reaction set could use another option, or the summary should show something different, reply to this post or reach out through the dashboard.
Availability
Comment reactions are live now on every Forento academy with community enabled, on both academy themes and in the creator dashboard.
