Captcha protection for student sign-ups

We’re excited to announce a new update designed to help creators keep their communities clean, secure, and spam-free. Starting today, students signing up on creator pages will be asked to complete a quick captcha verification. This additional step helps ensure that new accounts are created by real people, not bots. Why we built this Many creators have told us about the challenges caused by spam or automated accounts—fake sign-ups, cluttered student lists, and inaccurate engagement metrics. These issues can take time and attention away from what matters most: teaching, creating, and connecting with real learners. By adding captcha verification to the sign-up process, we’re tackling this problem at the source. What this means for creators Fewer bot and spam accounts Cleaner, more accurate student lists More reliable engagement and analytics Less time spent moderating or cleaning up fake users All of this helps protect the quality and integrity of your community. What this means for students For legitimate students, the experience remains simple. The captcha is quick to complete and only appears during sign-up. Once verified, students can continue onboarding as usual without any extra friction. Enabled by default Captcha verification is enabled automatically for all creators. There’s nothing you need to set up or configure—protection is in place right away.
